In a high-octane showdown, the College Park Skyhawks clashed with the Delaware Blue Coats, ultimately succumbing to a 111-96 defeat in their recent face-off.

Despite the loss, Rob Baker showcased his scoring prowess, leading the Skyhawks with 19 points, including an impressive 3-5 from beyond the arc. Baker's consistent sharpshooting has been a highlight, as he boasts a remarkable .563% shooting percentage from deep over his last six games.

Adding to the Skyhawks' standout performances was AJ Griffin, who notched G-League career highs with five steals and three blocks, alongside contributing 10 points off the bench.

While Baker and Griffin led the charge, four other Skyhawks players made significant contributions, with Miles Norris (17 points), Jordan Bowden (15 points), Mouhamed Gueye (11 points), and Vit Krejci (10 points) all reaching double figures.

The game saw both teams trading blows early on, but Delaware's hot shooting propelled them to a 16-point lead in the second quarter, with their prowess from beyond the arc proving decisive.

Despite a spirited comeback effort from College Park in the third quarter, spurred on by Bowden's 10 points, Delaware managed to maintain control, ending the quarter with a 81-72 lead.

Darius Bazley led the charge for the Blue Coats with a game-high 25 points, supported by impressive performances from Jared Brownridge and Rob Edwards, who notched 24 and 19 points respectively.

With the defeat, the Skyhawks hold a 15-11 record as they head into the final stretch of the regular season. Currently tied for fifth place in the East, they have eight games remaining, with five of them set to take place at home in College Park.

Looking ahead, the Skyhawks are gearing up for a crucial back-to-back series against the second-place Osceola Magic to close out their six-game home stand. Fans eager to catch the action can secure their seats now by visiting cpskyhawks.com.
