As the Tigers wrap up their spring practice for 2024, here are five standout players who shone in the Orange & White spring game.

Quarterback Trent Pearman stole the spotlight with a stellar performance, despite being the third-string quarterback. The former Daniel High School standout showcased his talent with two touchdowns, including a breathtaking 49-yard scoring run and a perfectly thrown nine-yard touchdown pass to freshman Bryant Wesco.

Linebacker Sammy Brown, a former five-star recruit, made his presence felt with an outstanding display of athleticism and skill. Playing for the White team, Brown led the defense with eight tackles, including a sack, and demonstrated his ability to disrupt plays.

Wide receiver Bryant Wesco, the talk of the spring, lived up to the hype with a spectacular touchdown catch. The true freshman’s over-the-shoulder grab in the end zone showcased his potential to be a playmaker for the Tigers.

Redshirt freshman Jamal Anderson Jr. made a memorable play with a first-quarter interception returned for a touchdown, paying homage to his father with a celebratory dance in the end zone. Anderson’s performance highlighted the depth of talent on Clemson’s defense.

Defensive end Jahiem Lawson seized the opportunity to shine in the absence of Peter Woods, recording a sack, two tackles for loss, and a crucial interception to thwart a potential scoring drive by the White team.

The spring game provided valuable insights into Clemson’s roster depth and potential for the upcoming season. While quarterback Cade Klubnik showed signs of improvement, there is room for growth as the Tigers aim for a successful campaign in 2024.

With the implementation of the 12-team playoff format, Clemson’s talented roster positions them as contenders for postseason success. As fans eagerly anticipate the start of the season, the spring game offered a glimpse of the team’s potential and provided optimism for what lies ahead.

As Clemson prepares for the challenges ahead, the Orange & White spring game served as a platform for players to showcase their abilities and stake their claim for a prominent role in the team’s success.
