Chicago Bulls Game Recap 🏀

Hey Crew!

Let’s talk about the time I went to the Windy City to attend a basketball game- the Chicago Bulls vs. Boston Celtics. I must say I was super excited because this has been on my bucket list for years. For one I love the city of Chicago- Downtown is gorgeous for starters. Just do not, I repeat do not go during the winter! It really is as cold as it seems, and the stories you were told about the wind are true- so do not say I did not warn you if you chose to not listen.

Anyways, on game day I was ready for all the craziness except for the fact that I did not account for the time difference in Chicago and nearly missed the game. Yikes! Yes, we ended up running late because I was not in the right head space thinking I was still in EST. But any who upon arrival via Uber (which is the easiest way to get there) the outside of the United Center is breathtaking. The red lights all around the arena as you walk in definitely puts you in the mood for game day. Upon walking in it gives off shopping mall vibes. Tall ceilings, bright lights, open space. There is glass everywhere, cool graphics, the logos for the Bulls and Blackhawks everywhere, and again those red led lights. Also, surprisingly everyone was nice which I did not expect at all. The arena is huge and a little confusing so be sure to read the signs or simply ask for help.

The security was not superb but they were present so luckily nothing bad went down. Anywho, where I entered I immediately saw the FanDuel Sportsbook which was very cool and I was actually surprised it was inside the arena. It was a nice lounge and was only allowed for those who had access- I did not have access so I just peeped in. Moving down the hall there was bars and places to eat but of course I was pulled towards the large opening to see the Luv-a-Bulls performing a latin flare dance. They looked great and were surely entertaining the crowd. The food places were not anything extravagant, and the prices were pricey but that was to be expected. My favorite part was the freestanding bars. They made specialty cocktails and had almost all options of liquor which is always my favorite element to any game day.

The entertainment through the game featured the dancers again, the entertainment team, the IncrediBulls, and a Chicago Naive, Cornell Freeney. He did his talents on a moving wheel which was great. There was a t-shirt toss and a parachute drop from the ceilings however, nothing was geared towards the higher levels. So, if you were in the nose bleeds all you got to see was the game and barely as you had to watch it from the Jumbotron. I would say that was my least favorite part of it because there was not a lot of action. The crowd was fully engaged and energetic, and I would say it was probably due to the team they played. Everyone either loves or hates the Celtics.

In the end the Bulls won which kept the crowd electric as we exited the arena. Pro tip: walk up about a mile or so to get your uber back as it will significantly decrease the price. We walked to a near by bar and waited there for the uber and it saved nearly $30. All in all the game was fun and I loved the atmosphere. The food and crowd entertainment was my least favorite part. But of course the drinks were my favorite. I will definitely go back to another game- in the warmer weather. I hope this helps!

P.S. here’s a video of my time and recap! Hope you enjoy and Go Bulls!
